LISTEN: Slayyyter releases “crank 2”
Slayyyter has brought CRANK back from the dead. The pop provocateur has released “crank 2,” a follow-up and apparent alter ego to her explosive 2025 single “CRANK,” once again building her chaos around a throbbing Jersey club beat.
Where “CRANK” found Slayyyter embracing self-destruction and excess, “crank 2” turns its attention toward a cheating ex. The song is every bit as confrontational, with Slayyyter delivering distorted threats over the relentless production. “You see me blowin’ up? / I’m on the television,” she snarls, before driving the point home: “I’m making money now / You running out of cash.” Given her recent late-night television debut, the line lands with an extra bit of bite.
The song arrives alongside a video directed by Slayyyter herself, and she gives the track a visual world to match its scorched-earth energy. Slayyyter dances through the desert beneath a giant American flag emblazoned with the words “WOR$T MAN IN AMERICA.”
If “CRANK” was Slayyyter turning the chaos inward, “crank 2” points the wreckage squarely at someone else.
