Death Cab for Cutie announce tour with Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som & Nation of Language

After two decades and six albums under the Atlantic Records umbrella, Death Cab for Cutie are officially back in indie land. The band has signed with ANTI-, marking a full-circle moment for one of the most enduring acts of the 2000s indie boom.

Before that next chapter arrives, Death Cab are hitting the road. The band has announced a summer North American tour with an enviable rotating cast of openers, including Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, and Nation of Language on select dates. “One of my favorite parts of being in this band is getting to be out on the road with artists that inspire us,” Gibbard says, name-checking each support act as recent favorites.

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 30 at 10 a.m. local time, with an artist presale beginning Wednesday, January 28 at 10 a.m. local. Full tour dates are listed below.
