Jack White plays surprise gig at Third Man Records’ new London record store

Jack White celebrated the launch of Third Man Records’ new London record store with a surprise set.

The performance marked White’s first full-length public gig in more than two years. Jack White started out with a seven-song set in the basement. Then, he moved to a balcony to play another five tracks for the crowd. White closed out the gig with a killer performance of “Seven Nation Army.” Just before that, he played “We Are Going to Be Friends” for “all the neighbors we’re upsetting now.”

Throughout the performance, White played some White Stripes hits like “Hello Operator,” “Icky Thump,” and “Seven Nation Army.” He also played The Dead Weather’s “I Cut Like a Buffalo” and The Raconterus’ “Steady, As She Goes.” Jack White even played his own solo hits “Sixteen Saltines” and “Lazaretto.”
