Japanese Breakfast shares cover of Yoko Ono’s ‘Nobody Sees Me Like You Do’

Japanese Breakfast has covered Yoko Ono’s “Nobody Sees Me Like You Do.”

The cover comes from a new tribute album to Yoko Ono. Curated by Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, Ocean Child: Songs Of Yoko Ono features 14 covers of Ono’s track from artists like David Byrne, Yo La Tengo, and more. Today we’ve gotten a taste with Japanese Breakfast’s rendition of Ono’s 1981 track, “Nobody Sees Me Like You Do.”

The song initially appeared on Ono’s Season Of Glass. Japanese Breakfast truly adds her own twist to the track, swapping out the dense orchestral instrumentals for her quintessential spatial, clean sound. With soaring vocals and emotional melodies, Japanese Breakfast’s rendition of “Nobody Sees Me Like You Do” is the perfect homage to Ono.
