Rock & Roll Hall of Fame selects 2026 inductees: Iron Maiden, Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan, Joy Division / New Order, more

The Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame has selected its 2026 inductees which are as follows:

  • Phil Collins (first-time nominee as a solo artist, was inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010)

  • Billy Idol

  • Iron Maiden

  • Joy Division/New Order

  • Oasis

  • Sade

  • Luther Vandross (first-time nominee)

  • Wu-Tang Clan (first-time nominee)


Beyond the eight official nominees, the ceremony also recognizes a broader slate of honors.

Among them are the “Early Influence” awards, which celebrate artists whose music and performance styles have directly shaped, inspired, and propelled the evolution of rock & roll and its cultural impact.

  • Queen Latifah

  • MC Lyte

  • Gram Parsons


The “Musical Excellence Award” which is “given to artists, musicians, songwriters, and producers whose originality and influence have had a dramatic impact on music”:

  • Linda Creed

  • Arif Mardin

  • Jimmy Miller   

  • Rick Rubin


The “Ahmet Ertegun Award” which is given to “non-performing industry professionals who have had a major influence on the creative development and growth of rock & roll and music that has impacted culture”:

  • Ed Sullivan


The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 2026 induction ceremony is set for November 14 in Los Angeles, with the broadcast slated to air on ABC and stream on Disney+ in December.
