The Cure share "Warsong" remix by Deftones' Chino Moreno

The Cure have unveiled a new remix of “Warsong” by Chino Moreno of Deftones, taken from their forthcoming Mixes of a Lost World album (available for preorder). “I chose ‘Warsong’ because I’ve always been drawn to The Cure’s slow-burning, brooding compositions,” Moreno explains. “For this remix, I wanted to pare down the organic elements and introduce rigid, mechanical percussion and pitch-shifted vocals to evoke a colder, more dystopian atmosphere—while still preserving the track’s original beauty.”

Mixes of a Lost World is out June 13 is available as a double LP/2-CD sets with remixes by Four Tet, Orbital, Paul Oakenfold, Daniel Avery, Mura Masa and more, and the 3-LP/3-CD editions adds eight more remixes including Chino Moreno’s, plus Mogwai, Trentemøller, The Twilight Sad, and more.
