Since returning to the stage in September with a new drummer, Foo Fighters have been dropping surprise, intimate pop-up shows across the U.S. Their latest performance took place Monday night (11/3) at The Nile Theater in Bakersfield, CA. The set featured the live debut of their cover of Minor Threat’s “I Don’t Wanna Hear It,” a track they first started recording back in 1995 and officially released this past June.
Bakersfield record store Going Underground held a raffle for tickets, offering winners a mixtape curated by Dave Grohl himself. The mixtape includes songs from their soon-to-be tourmates Gouge Away, as well as tracks by Fugazi, The Jesus Lizard, L7, Shellac, St. Vincent, Jockstrap, Beastie Boys, and more.
