High Water Festival 2025 is set to light up North Charleston’s Riverfront Park on April 26–27 with a stellar lineup of indie rock, folk, and Americana acts. With no overlapping sets across two alternating stages, attendees can fully immerse themselves in performances by headliners Arcade Fire and Lord Huron.

Flipturn

Florida-based Flipturn's debut album, Shadowglow (2022), showcased their blend of surf rock, new wave, and pop, leading to performances at major festivals like Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. Earlier this year, they released their sophomore album, Burnout Days, which delves into themes of personal growth, further solidifying their place in the indie music scene.

Julian Baker & Torres

Julien Baker and Torres (Mackenzie Scott) are acclaimed indie rock singer-songwriters known for their emotionally raw and introspective music. Baker, hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, gained recognition with her debut album Sprained Ankle (2015), which delves into themes of addiction, faith, and identity. Torres, originally from Georgia, has released several albums, including Thirstier (2021), showcasing her dynamic range and lyrical depth. This year, the duo collaborated on the album Send a Prayer My Way, blending their Southern roots with country and rock influences.

Gigi Perez

Gigi Perez is an American indie folk and pop singer-songwriter who released her viral song "Sailor Song" independently in July 2024. The track, a poignant exploration of queer love and spiritual longing, resonated widely, peaking at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 along with topping charts in the UK and Ireland. Perez's candid lyrics and haunting melodies have solidified her as a compelling voice in contemporary indie music.

Joy Oladokun

Joy Oladokun is a Nigerian-American singer-songwriter whose music blends folk, R&B, rock, and pop influences. In addition to her solo projects, she has collaborated with artists like Chris Stapleton and Noah Kahan, and has performed on prominent platforms including the White House and major television shows. Oladokun identifies as gender-nonconforming and uses she/they pronouns, bringing a unique perspective to the contemporary music scene.
