Jack White is set to make his return to Saturday Night Live this weekend, marking his sixth appearance as a musical guest—an arc that stretches back to his 2002 debut with The White Stripes. In typical fashion, he’s not arriving empty-handed. Ahead of the performance, White has dropped a pair of new singles, “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico,” his first new material since 2024’s No Name.
Both tracks find White firmly in control of his sonic world, handling production duties while backed by his longtime touring band: drummer Patrick Keeler, bassist Dominic Davis, and keyboardist Bobby Emmet. It’s a tight, road-tested unit that continues to sharpen the edges of White’s restless, shape-shifting sound.
The episode itself doubles down on the Jack factor, with Jack Black returning as host for the fifth time. In the show’s promo, Black leans into his maximalist persona, dubbing Easter and Passover the “two most metal holidays of all time”—a line delivery that feels perfectly calibrated for the chaos White tends to bring to the SNL stage.
Beyond Studio 8H, White’s momentum continues to build. He’s also lined up a European tour, extending this latest chapter into a broader, globe-spanning run.
