WATCH: Chappell Roan joins Noah Kahan for “California” performance

Chappell Roan made a surprise appearance at Noah Kahan's Rose Bowl show Saturday night, joining the singer onstage in Pasadena for a performance of her song "California."
The cameo arrived late in Kahan's 27-song set on his The Great Divide Tour. After introducing Roan to the crowd, Kahan handed the stage to the pop star, who took a moment to return the favor before launching into the song. "Noah always stands up for me," Roan told the audience. "He's a good person, for real." Fan-shot footage of the performance can be seen below.
Kahan's The Great Divide Tour continues Monday at San Diego's Petco Park. Roan, meanwhile, is set to appear at Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields festival on August 29.
The surprise performance also comes as Roan continues to expand her work beyond the stage. She recently announced The Super Graphic Spectacular, a two-night fundraiser taking place in Los Angeles in October to benefit her nonprofit, The Midwest Princess Project, which supports LGBTQ+ youth.
